Mary Ann began dancing at the age of 5, learning tap and ballet. She later discovered the Jitterbug and Swing as a teenager. She began her training as a ballroom dancer in 1988 at a local studio. Here she met her husband, Ron. She soon became a competition dancer, entering events in Cleveland and Akron with her instructor. Later, she and her husband Ron competed as an amateur couple, achieving first place awards in many categories.
Mary Ann's career as an instructor began in 1995. Her professional training includes: Swing, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Hustle, Mambo, Samba, Country 2-step, Night-club 2-step, West Coast Swing, and ALL phases of Ballroom Dance. Each year Mary Ann and Ron travel to Cleveland and Columbus to continue their dance training through professional workshops.
Mary Ann and Ron started their own Ballroom Dance company, Meet Me on the Dance Floor, in 1997 and are currently located in the Judy Conti Dance Studios.
Their students have performed in local theater, competitions, Judy Conti Recitals, and their own annual showcase.
Mary Ann and Ron live in Youngstown where she has been a life-long resident. Ron is originally from New Philadelphia, Ohio and he is employed at Severstal Warren, Inc. as Manager of Security. They have two grown children.
